Description: When a message arrives without a subject line, rather than showing its subject field as "---" how about using the first line of its text?'

When replying to a message with no explicit subject, LaFite should generate a template with >>Subject<< (or whatever it is) instead of "---" and with the cursor ready to write there rather than in the message portion.
