I then tried to browse ACTIVE.MAIL in order to read new mail.' ' Lafite complained that the TOC didn''t agree with the ACTIVE.MAIL, and printed out "...failed," which was reasonable. But it deleted my TOC file too. In general, when it''s confused, Lafite should just back out, leaving as much state around as possible.'
