When in DEdit, if you select some items and then left-button redisplay in the DEdit window, the items lose their highlighting, though they are still selected.  This is especially noticeable if you then middle-button clear (on the swap sub-menu) -- the highlighting magically reappears.  '
So it seems that the problem is in DEDITREPAINTFN.'
