Description: Apparently if one RECOMPILEs a file in CHANGES mode, but has some expr definitions "in core" for functions which are marked as changed in the file, then the source for the recompilation will be the "in core" versions rather than those on the file.  Compiling a file *must* correspond to the source in the file.
