Dlionfs now detects non-Klamath disk formats and refuses to use them. In the case of {dsk}, it creates the usual coredevice replacement.'

If the machine is Mesa 10 and the DLIONFS is Mesa 11, I expect the DLIONFS to detect this and do something sensible such as printing a message and creating a core {DSK}. I can''t pick out a public Dandelion and know that it is Mesa 11 vs Mesa 10 and I can''t do system work in a <LISP>CURRENT> sysout. Even when I''m not doing system work, I use <LISPCORE>NEXT> sysouts to help the group debugging process.'

I''m still a little confused about the state of Mesa 10.0 Dlionfs -- I ran an older sysout on my DLion, which had been (painstakingly!) configured for Mesa 11.0, and it seems to have wiped me out. Any hope?'

I''m not going to go back to fix the Sierra-compatible file system to behave gracefully on a Klamath disk and then remake all Carol-based loadups. Instead, if for some reason you have need of running a Carol-based loadup on a dlion, load it on a Dorado, load all the Klamath-compatible file system files (dlionfs, volumedirectory, volumefilemap, volumeallocationmap) from lispcore>sources, sysout, and run the result on your dlion.'
'
As for patching up your trashed dsk volume, I''m afraid there isn''t much you can do. You''ll probably have to makepilot, erase the volume, and mkdir again. Sorry.'

Ok, just to get the record straight': I can take a Carol sysout, overload the DLion fs with the new Klamath-compatible one, dump that sysout out, and then run that on a Mesa.11 DLion?'
