Subject: want type? to translate even if the record definition isn''t available

Lisp Version: 24-Jul-84 00':10':36

Description: (type? FOO X) could easily translate into (TYPENAMEP X ''FOO) when there is no record declaration for FOO round. Hard to say that this is truly a RECORD package problem -- it''s partly CLISP.
