Having loaded fugue.6 fxprinter.dcom and rs232.dcom,'
doint rs232.print(foo) breaks under rs232 initialisation'
because rs232modemcontrol fails - not suprising given that there'
is a printer plugged into the port. Two successive retfroms allow'
printing to proceed OK.'

The "modem control lines" are relevant to a whole host of devices other than modems; for example, some printers supply a "clear-to-send" signal when they are capable of receiving data. If you built a cable according to the Fugue release booklet documentation, there should be no trouble with these lines.'
'
Perhaps you could give a bit more detail about how rs232modemcontrol "fails", in addition to the version of RS232 and of FXPRINTER loaded (on the property list under the FILE property).'
