Subject: HARDCOPYW does nothing when DEFAULTPRINTERTYPE=NIL

Lisp Version: 9-May-84 09':41':34

Description: This really was confusing a user at Systems Control Technology, who was trying to produce a press file from a window but didn''t have DEFAULTPRINTERTYPE set in his system init. I think the ''right'' solution is to have HARDCOPYW produce an ERROR (rather than, say, defaulting to some random value) if it can''t find a printer or a printer type.'

Disposition: I fixed it so that HARDCOPYW (a) tries harder to figure out what to do, and (b) produces an error if it can''t/ lmm 1jun84.
