If you load and try to run \DLIONFSInit on a Dorado (which I just did since I dont have a SELECTQ on (SYSTEMTYPE) in my initfile the running of my init function is interrupted. Couldn''t you just print out a message but exit from the call to \DLIONFSInit in a manner so the rest of the initialization could be completed.'

You shouldn''t ever have to call \DFSInit yourself anymore; I think I got it all straightened out (as of this last release) so that that all works right automatically. The check in \DFSInit is a temporary integrity check to make sure that I got all that stuff right. So the solution is for you to take the \DFSInit call out of your init file altogether. '
'
But it occurs to me that it might be your call to VOLUMEDISPLAY which is running \DFSInit. Do you think that VOLUMEDISPLAY, MKDIR, etc. ought to continue gracefully or cause an error on a non-1108? I would think they ought to cause an error (with the possible exception of VOLUMEDISPLAY).'
