I was puzzled to find that LOADFROM was not putting anything on FILELST. Turned out that FILEPKGFLG = ADDSPELLFLG = BUILDMAPFLG = NIL. These three variables happen to be ones that are RESETVAR''ed to NIL in LOAD when you load things SYSLOAD.I had done very little when this occurred--loaded ABC, several files SYSLOAD, ran SINGLEFILEINDEX on three files and started Lafite.'
'
I can''t reproduce this. Simply loading something SYSLOAD is not enough.'

Could it be that ENDLOADUP() wasn''t run before the makesys in the loadup you are in? I seem to recall suffering this sort of thing once when my command file wasn''t executing properly.'

That''s what I at first suspected, but I started up the sysout afresh and all the vars were set right. Besides, if they''d been set wrong in the sysout, I''d expect to see a dozen ar''s on it by now.'
