'
Although TEDIT offers function TEDIT.LOOKS for the user to set the looks of text in a document, there does not seem to be any programmatic way to determine the looks of a character in the document such as'
     (TEDIT.GETLOOKS STREAM CH#orSEL)'
returning the sort of plist TEDIT.LOOKS accepts.'
There is no way to interrogate the caret''s looks, no way to determine where the paragraphs are, and no way to determine a paragraph''s looks.'
