Copyfiling a large file or sysout to floppies or using floppy.from.file runs awfully slowly': close to 20 minutes per floppy.  Creating the same floppy from scratch in Tajo runs noticeably quicker.'

I spoke to Kelly and he said that there were a lot of diagnostic checks in that code which slow it down a lot, and  which could probably now be removed.  Perhaps those checks could be taken out in the near future to make life easier for floppymakers.'
