Starting with {Phylum}<LispUsers>AREDIT.DCOM, I did '
(SETQ STR (OPENIPSTREAM ''{CORE}TEST.IP))'
(AR.SHOW 39 STR)'
(CLOSEF STR)'
(EMPRESS STR)'
'
The printer compailed Parse Failure': no such command.'
'
'
I copied {CORE}TEST.IP to {Phylum}<Interpress>BUG95.IP.'

Your message didn''t say what loadup you were running in or where to find AR.SHOW, but I found it on AREDIT. Loading that and trying (AR.SHOW 39) to the display, I got a non-numeric arg NIL in AR.SHOWFIELD.'
'
Please let me know when this is fixed so that I can try it again.'

'
Looking at the code for AR.SHOW1, I see that it calls CLEARW on the TO stream. This gives an illegal-arg error on an IP stream--currently there is no coercion between IP streams and windows.'
'
How did you run this code at all?'
