This message is to announce the release of Lyric.  The lisp.sysout is dated 27-Apr-87 17:07:03.  The microcode version for 1108 is 153.   The microcode version for 1186s is 87 (Lispdove.db of 21-Jul-87 10:20:33) for 8K control store and 88 for 4K control store.  The library files can be found on {erinyes}<lisp>lyric>library>. Lyric-patch-1.lcom (20-Jul-87 16:09:58) contains a workaround for an 1186 problem with stack overflows when the original exec window was closed (AR 8880).

Technical Disclosure: Lyric contains the Xerox AIS implementation of Common Lisp as described in the Xerox Common Lisp Language Specification of September 15, 1986.  The System Tool is based on Mesa 12.3.  The floppies for the release were formatted using Mesa 12.3. Floating point microcode and 8K control store are supported in Lyric. 6085 Offline Diagnostics 1.3e are included in this release.  1108 Diagnostics are the same as released for Koto.
