RE: Tamarin PSSR changes:

1. Change the date to 12/28
2. Add the following description to the bottom of the Project Description section:

Tamarin is still in the pre-concept phase. Research is continuing. This schedule is for tracking purposes only (it is not a committed schedule).

3. Put a complete for Arch. design spec.
4. nMos LP tested should be replanned to 2/15.
5. CMOS PC board design should be replanned to 2/31.
6. Add the word "Prelim." in from of chip functional simulator and chip microcode.
7. Put a complete for the chip functional simulator and chip microcode.
8. Replan CMOS PC board layout and fab to 3/6.
9. For the monthly progress/problems put in the following:

Progress on the Tamarin softcard is continuing. Celeste Chapman is leaving to go work in France and is transferring her responsibilities to other team members. This has lowered overall productivity as her duties are transferred and her presence will be missed. To asses display issues, a display board has been designed and input to EXPERT. Instruction cycle details and memory system timing have been documented for the processor. The system strategy for bringing up the Tamarin card has ben defined. VTI delivered the nMOS wafers at the end of the month and planns have been made to package and test them. We continue to act as an Alpha site for the PARC VLSI design tools. As a part of the pre-concept phase, we are expanding the functionality of the processor to simplify interfacing issues and reduce parts count. The hardware schedule will mesh with the software schedule.

10. No changes to either of the other sheets in the PSSR. If any of this is not clear, just give me a call.

Thanks for changing the original,
