MICROCODEDMEMORY MOVE TEST This test is designed to compare the speed of moving memory blocks. The BLT opcode was used for the timing of the DayBreak tests, and the appropriate microcode was used for the Tamarin BLT opcode. The DayBreak test was run under Lyric with a fresh sysout, so that page faults should not be incurred in the moves. It should be noted that the DayBreak BLT opcode has been heavily tuned and optimized through the years, and is one area in which the DayBreak performs well. Blocks of 10000 words (32 bit words) were moved in these tests.
