You should do as much prep work before coming as you can, we don't want to be tight on counter space... We have a reasonable set of utensils, but if you need something exotic, you might throw it in the car just in case. If a few more woks arrive, some can be used while others are washing. My new, improved, larger stove will actually be slightly less convenient than the old in that only one wok can be reasonably used at a time (there are still 5 other burners that can be doing steaming, simmering, etc. We try to serve one dish at a time, but dishes that require long steaming or simmering time can be prepared in parallel with other dishes. We have salt and pepper, but our larder has been only sporatically maintained for the past nine months. You should bring everything you need in the way of ingredients (someone once made egg rolls, but failed to bring any oil for deep frying them). I'm well fixed for refrigerator space (we desparately need to grocery shop).
