Suppose throughout the following that you have chosen "Curie.Lark". First cdr bringover /indigo/lark/r/top/larkprograms -- NOT -p Next choose a working directory name (for instance, "Thrush"). CD Thrush Bringover /indigo/voice/r/top/thrush Bringover -p /indigo/voice/r/top/directoryfiles Bringover -p /indigo/voice/r/top/LarkControl Bringover -p /indigo/voice/r/top/Parameters Perform the following edits: "Morley" -> "Curie" in Test.cm "Morley" -> "Curie" in TestWithJa.cm "Morley" -> "Curie" in the "telephone system settings" section of your user profile (begin with /ivy/swinehart/r/swinehart.profile, which has changed recently) r -> "DCS" or "PTZ" or "Curie", or something, or else "6.1" or the like if there is no development version. Do the same for bluejay in both thrush.df and bluejay.df if you have your own bluejay. To test Thrush, with or without your own Bluejay: Test (there'll be one unbound imports report about BluejayUtils) (wait for things to settle down) If you are also testing your own Bluejay: TestWithJa (wait for things to settle down) If the GVImport fails, abort the error window and issue the test file again. You may end up rolling back/calling LarkSupport. After things have settled down, Use "GVDebug " to tune the specified Lark into your test server. "GVOperate " will return it to standard operation. (if it isn't already, the name curie.lark must be registered on grapevine pointing to your Thrush instance -- see LarkSupport.) Then put your LarkControl into Manual mode, and for each Lark that you set up above, do: Mode, (right-button) Status, Reset, (shift) Load. Each should load up and register with your server, and you're in Business. To use a Finch that goes along with this: CD Finch (say) Bringover /indigo/voice/r/top/finch. If you modify the finch, change r to "PTZ" or whatever in the df file as above. Run Finch Finch Curie.Lark. You're in business. ------------------- Addendum: Doug's reserved instance name is "Turing.lark" /Voice/Voice/DBT/Top/TuringTest.df contains the command files for running Thrush, Bluejay, and the VoiceRopeServer. Doug's lark is # 157 Ê@˜JšÑbpsœ"˜&Jšœ ˜JšÐbsœ5˜J˜ JšœŸœ ˜$JšœŸœ˜/JšœŸœ˜,JšœŸœ˜+—J˜˜J˜J˜$˜SJšœŸœ/˜K—JšŸœÁ˜ÂJ˜—˜1J˜J˜;J˜ —J˜˜)J˜ J˜ J˜—J˜}J˜J˜¦˜€J˜—˜XJ˜1J˜JJ˜—˜)J˜JšœŸœ ˜$Jšœ Ÿœ.˜OJ˜J˜ J˜J˜—J˜J˜J˜˜ J˜.J˜sJ˜——…— p ¶
