Sample Calculations
Let Sale Price be $X .
(The numeric values on each line beginning "Let ... " are the parameters to be set by the user. Thus, using CaminoReal, we can set the $200,000 number to whatever is appropriate. To do so, issue a "MathEval off" command, close and reopen the document so it repaints, pull the definitions to be altered into a CaminoReal tool ("FromTioga" button), edit, and put back in the document "ToTioga" button).
Let Fraction Down be X .
(Likewise, the user sets an appropriate value here).
Then the Down Payment is
$
X .
(The numeric values on each line beginning "Then ... " are computed in terms of the parameters whenever the Commander command "MathEval on" is in effect. To see the newly computed values after issuing a "MathEval on" command, close and reopen the document.)
Then Amount of First Mortgage is
$
X .
Let Term of Loan be X years (hence there will
be
X Payments altogether).
Let the Interest Rate be X per cent.
Then the Amount of each monthly payment is
$ X
