Pictures in the system are in color, and composedof lines, curves, filled areas and text in multiple fonts. The data structure is defined so that thefinal copy can be rendered at high resolutions, such as that of a laser printer This eliminates thejaggies that occur at display resolutions. The Griffin videotape opens with a sequence of picturesbeing refreshed on a color monitor. I give a brief introduction to the system and show severalexamples of output from the system. All the sample output shown in this tape was produced on aPuffin printer. After the closeup of the sample output, I describe the hardware, which is a dorado with both astandard alto display and a color monitor attached to it, a mouse and a keyboard. An onlinedemonstration of the user interface follows. The user interface consists of displayed menus operatedwith the mouse. The demonstration describes most of the features of the system in the context ofcreating a new picture. The viewer sees alternating views of both the color and black and whitedisplay as the demonstration runs. The tape ends with closing remarks followed by a montage ofpictures from the system. ]gpi c8q]rX-q7Br ]q]r -q7Br Yq]r-q 7BrSsr M.
