XEROX KAL 2 4 1 KAL 1 4 By: Michel Denber (Denber.WBST@Xerox.COM) INTRODUCTION KAL (version 1.2) is a program which draws moving kaleidoscopic patterns in its window on your screen. You can also run it in color if you have a color display connected to your machine. KAL runs as a process so you can leave it running while doing other work. Please send all comments, bug reports, and suggestions to me: Denber.WBST. OPERATION Load KAL from your Lispusers directory by typing LOAD(KAL.DCOM). To start the program, type (KAL). If you have a color display, a pop-up menu will ask you if you want to run the program in color. Otherwise, it will open a window and start running. You can change the size of the KAL window with the SHAPE option on the right button menu. Holding the middle button in the KAL window brings up a menu with the following options: Suspend - Lets you temporarily suspend execution of the program. The display freezes but remains visible. Resume - Will continue the program from the point of the last Suspend. Stop - Unconditionally ends the program. To run it again, you haveto type (KAL) again. Period - Lets you change the repetition rate of the display. Persistence -Lets you change the draw/erase interval of the display. Here is an example of a typical KAL display: ÕÕÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿøÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿøû¿ñÿ÷÷ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿþÿñÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿøûýÿÿ÷ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿüÿîÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿøúøýãÇ—
