ISL 4.2 Release This release of ISL software includes three new components, along with the usual minor changes and bug fixes. All components of the release are compatible with Cedar 4.2. Peanut DF file: Peanut.df Documentation: contact implementor Implementor: Paxton Fixes some mail parsing problems related to ARPA sites and adds enabling goodies so Warren can put a Remind button in the Peanut menu. Roots DF file: Roots.df Documentation: contact implementor Implementor: Bier WARNING: Not yet for public consumption. Released to support Solidviews. A new package to find all complex roots of quadratic, cubic, and quartic polynomials using closed form methods. Robust and fast. Will also include code to test your favorite root finders. ShowPress DF file: ShowPress.df Documentation: ShowPress.tioga Implementor: Beach New interface procedure ShowPressTool.CreateShowViewer provided for clients to use ShowPress to display press files, e.g. WhiteBoards. Scrolling now supports thumbing, as well as up and down. Solidviews DF file: Solidviews.df Documentation: SolidviewsManual.doc, SolidviewsManual.press Implementor: Bier No major changes. Ray tracing of tori look different, but not necessarily better. There is a hook in the edittool for specifying ray tracing resolution, but it isn't wired up yet. Some of the old bugs have been fixed. Cones should appear fine in shaded mode. The ArtworkTool buttons don't draw themselves upside down. The documentation has been updated to reflect these fixes.
