Abstract: Mayday is a clone from SoS. While SoS defines connectivity by the wire values found in the Core data structure, Mayday uses the following definition: Two rectangles are connected iff they intersect. All rectangles are considered to be closed, therefore, two touching rectangles intersect.

For Internal Xerox Use Only
Generic tid-bits
may|day n. An international radio-telephone signal word used by aircraft and ships in distress. [Phonetic rendering of French m'aider, help me.]
Of course, Mayday will show a lot of spurious messages. The reason is that we never fuse geometry, so all those tiny pieces of material among other two generate errors.
Never use Mayday before SoS, because you will miss important error messages that undergo the mass.
There is the usual log file.
