1. Scanner Tool
Scanning in the Cedar world
The Scanner Tool provides a way to create AIS files from printed images. The tool is currently capable of creating black/white & color images from anything that can be placed in front of the Eikonix scanner that is attached to the Dicentra "York". The system is used by getting a scanner tool, by typing "scanner" to the command tool. The program will configure itself in the correct way.
2. Using it to scan
Pressing the sample scan button will cause the whole filed to be scanned at a resolution that is 1/16th of normal. After the scan press the left mouse button down, to select that area you wish to scan. Press the scan button and the image will be scanned, then displayed at full resolution.
