The American Heritage Dictionary is made available from our friends in SSL thru the XNS-based Courier Program "Dictionary1.cr".
Programmers should concern themselves with the "Dictionary" interface. Apologies are made for the lisp-like nature of the code, it was gleened from the initial Lisp implementation.
Users need to know is that the Dictionary.Server profile entry identifies an XNS Dictionary.Server resource (as of now, there is only one); around PARC/Xerox the proper definition is the default value of "DictServer:PARC:Xerox". To specify an alternate resource, just use the user profile entry:
Dictionary.Server: "DictServer:PARC:Xerox"
The CommandTool command, Dictionary, takes a single argument.
